About PrimePort

We were your customer
before we were your 3PL

Second-generation, family owned, and built out of 25+ years of importing and selling product — which is why this warehouse is organised around the things that used to go wrong for us.

Our story

The warehouse we always wished we had

Before PrimePort was a logistics company, we were wholesalers and e-commerce sellers. We spent twenty-five years bringing containers into the Port of New York & New Jersey, prepping product, chasing retailers for payment and arguing with warehouses about counts.

We knew exactly what a good 3PL would feel like, because we kept not getting one. The calls that went unanswered. The short count discovered a month too late. The container sitting on a chassis racking up per diem while two companies pointed at each other. So eventually we stopped looking and built it.

That’s the whole premise. We run the building we would have wanted as a customer — and we still think like the customer, because that’s the job most of us did first.

How we operate

Four things we won’t compromise on

01

Tell you early

A short count, a damage, a hold at the terminal — you hear it the same day, with photos. Bad news does not improve with age.

02

Answer the phone

A named contact who knows your freight. Not a ticket queue, not a portal, not an account manager three accounts deep.

03

Price it legibly

Line items you can tie back to a container. If you cannot work out what you were charged for, the invoice is wrong.

04

Say no when it’s a no

If your product or your volume isn’t right for this building, we’ll say so at the quote stage rather than discovering it in peak season.

Who we work with

Four very different customers, one building

A forwarder in Shanghai and an Amazon seller in Brooklyn want completely different things from a 3PL. Being useful to both is the point.

  • Freight forwarders & NVOCCsOverseas partners who need a dependable destination agent for deconsolidation, devanning and on-carriage.
  • Customs brokersClean handoffs after release, exam support, and freight delivered without you chasing a trucker.
  • Importers & wholesalersContainer to retail floor, with ticketing, compliance and DC delivery handled.
  • E-commerce brands & Amazon sellersFBA prep, DTC fulfillment and reserve stock in one place, near the port the goods land at.
